Meet Michelle Baker
Twenty years of specialist experience with textured hair is not something you pick up quickly, and it is the reason clients drive across the Greater Toronto Area to sit in Michelle Baker’s chair.
Michelle and her team run Hair N Extensions Boutique in Whitby, Ontario — which is two businesses under one roof: a full-service salon, and a beauty supply bar open to everyone, not just stylists.
In the salon
Hair extensions, locs, braids and protective styles, tree braids (the invisible kind), colour, cuts and styling, and ongoing hair care and maintenance. Consultations are free, and the team uses them properly — the point is to find a look that suits your image, your personality and the life you actually lead, before you commit to anything.
As Michelle’s own description puts it: clients leave with a style that holds up in real life, not just in the chair.
At the beauty supply bar
A large in-store selection of premium hair care essentials — wigs, braiding hair, extensions, styling products and accessories. Salon-quality product, available to anyone who walks in. You do not need to book a service to shop.

The boutique draws from Whitby, Oshawa, Ajax, Pickering, Brooklin, Courtice, Bowmanville, Clarington and the wider Durham Region, plus North York and Toronto.
